Coalescing filters provide excellent protection.
Compressed air contaminated by dust, water, and oil must be properly treated to protect your systems and finished products. Atlas Copco has developed a range of high‑quality oil‑coalescing filters to ensure smooth operations, maximize equipment service life, and help your products meet stringent quality standards.
DD+/PD+ Series
Lubrication of the compressor’s main unit or the compressor system itself can generate oil aerosols, wet dust, and water droplets, which may damage the entire compressed air system. Atlas Copco DD+ and PD+ filters, employing an oil‑coalescing filtration process, effectively reduce these contaminants, ensuring your system operates more smoothly and efficiently.
These high-performance oil coalescing filters are meticulously engineered to deliver exceptional air purity at low pressure drops. Thanks to their advanced glass-fiber technology and a 3D-structured coarse‑filter layer/separator, the DD+/PD+ series enables you to meet increasingly stringent air‑quality requirements.
Its stainless steel filter element, epoxy‑resin sealed cover, and corrosion‑resistant coated filter housing make this filter exceptionally reliable.

UD+ Series

The UD+ series integrates two filtration stages—DD+ and PD+—into a single, innovative technology, enabling you to meet stringent quality requirements across a wide range of applications while delivering exceptional energy efficiency. Moreover, these units not only help you cut costs but also save space by eliminating the need for a second filter.
At the same time, these 2-in-1 coalescing filters effectively reduce oil aerosols, wet dust, and water droplets in compressed air streams, protecting your equipment and processes. The UD+ series ensures a lower pressure drop than conventional filter combinations, resulting in energy savings. Thanks to their robust filter elements, these filters deliver the same level of air purity as two separate filters used in series.
Thanks to its specially designed emission technology, the UD+ series prevents oil droplets from re-entering the airflow.

Understand your air quality requirements.
If you’re unsure and only know that you must protect your system from dust contamination, you need to understand your air quality requirements. For some applications, such as tire inflation, certain contaminants in compressed air pose no issues. In contrast, other applications—like those in cleanroom environments—require a higher level of air purity.
Understanding your air quality requirements and the standards you must comply with will help you select the appropriate air filter, reducing your investment costs and ensuring you get the most out of your compressed air system. If you’re unsure which ISO standard applies to your operating conditions or which types of contaminants you need to protect against, please contact Atlas Copco.
Certification
• ISO 8573-4:2019
• ISO 12500-3:2009

To filter dust (as well as other contaminants), Atlas Copco also offers the high-pressure H-series filters and the silicone-free SFA-series filters.
Wet dust and oil aerosols pose a serious threat to your compressed air system. If they enter the airflow, they can damage your pneumatic equipment and finished products, significantly increasing your operating costs. Atlas Copco’s oil‑coalescing filters are specifically designed to remove wet dust and oil aerosols, ensuring outstanding filtration performance.
Ideal filtration technology
DD+/PD+ and UD+ oil coalescing filters employ a wrap‑around technology that is particularly effective against wet particulates. The wrap‑around filter media delivers exceptional durability in humid, oil‑contaminated environments. This coalescing filter series incorporates Nautilus technology with multiple wrap layers, ensuring consistently high air quality even under harsh operating conditions.
inPASS™ Bypass
In addition to our exceptional oil coalescence filters, you also benefit from an innovative built-in bypass that allows you to service the filter without interrupting airflow. For you, this means no need to install costly external pipeline bypasses, resulting in lower operating and energy costs, reduced maintenance time, and significant capital savings.
Maintenance indicator
To ensure consistent air quality, the maintenance indicator provides easy access to the filter’s operating hours, differential pressure, and service status. It can even send remote alerts, so you can rest assured.
Professional filtration technology
Atlas Copco’s dedicated filtration team has been continuously seeking ways to give your compressed air system a competitive edge. Our next-generation oil‑coalescing filter series incorporates a range of innovative technologies, making your filtration system more efficient and easier to operate. Below, three examples illustrate how this oil‑coalescing technology works.

Find a filter that suits your application environment.
The table below shows the various ISO 8573-1:2010 air purity classes, along with the Atlas Copco coalescing filter and dryer combinations that meet these classes.
If you’re unsure which ISO class you need but do know which contaminants you must protect your system from, please refer to the general‑purpose and specialized application tables below. They provide an overview of which Atlas Copco filter is best suited to address each type of contaminant.
Filter Application
Air pollutants
Against Atlas Copco filters, dust, water, and oil will be no match. These filters are designed to remove one or more of the following contaminants:
• Contaminants: dust, solid particles, rust particles, and microorganisms.
• Water: condensed liquid water, water suspensions, and acidic condensate.
• Oil: liquid oil, oil suspensions, hydrocarbon vapors.
General Applications
Special Applications
Correction factor
When operating at pressures other than the rated pressure, the actual free air delivery (FAD) is calculated by multiplying the rated AML flow rate by a correction factor. The resulting flow rate corresponds to the pressure drop specified by the AML.
