What is a screw blower?
A screw compressor that supplies compressed air at pressures below 1.5 bar(g) is referred to as a screw blower. Consequently, the operating principle of a screw blower is identical to that of a screw compressor.
Screw blowers are used in numerous low-pressure applications, such as wastewater treatment, pneumatic conveying, and fermentation processes. Our screw blower units are certified to ISO 8573‑1 Class 0, ensuring protection for your critical process flows and products.
What are the advantages of screw technology?
The energy cost of a blower can account for as much as 80% of its life-cycle costs. Screw blowers are positive-displacement blowers. The internal compression process in screw blowers significantly reduces energy consumption, as only a very limited amount of energy is converted into heat.

Compact structure, easy installation.
Our ZS screw blowers are compact and space‑saving, allowing for flexible installation anywhere—even side by side. These lightweight units are easy to maintain and can be seamlessly integrated into your existing blower room. They can even be deployed in harsh outdoor conditions, withstanding ambient temperatures of up to 50°C/120°F.
The front of the unit is equipped with a forklift slot. The exhaust outlet and (duct-type) air inlet are located on the rear, and the power cable can be routed in from the top. Certain models—such as our ZS VSD⁺ units—can be installed side by side. The blower is operated from the front (or remotely), and routine maintenance can be performed from both the front and the rear.
