Product Details:
The Niemann tooth profile, proposed in 1937 by Professor G. Niemann of Germany, is a type of cylindrical worm gear drive with concave teeth. In this design, the worm features a concave circular‑arc surface, while the worm wheel has a convex circular‑arc surface. This complementary mating of convex and concave tooth profiles increases the angle between the circumferential velocity directions, promoting the formation of an optimal lubricant film and improving meshing conditions. Additionally, the larger combined radius of curvature reduces contact stresses, thereby enhancing the tooth surface’s fatigue strength. CAVEX® worm gear reducers, embodying advanced German engineering principles and high‑quality manufacturing processes, have maintained a leading position in the global worm gear industry for more than 50 years.
Already stably deployed in:
Nuclear power, military applications, rubber‑sheet printing, electric power, papermaking, petroleum, air‑separation units, and more...
